things gone a bit quiet unless you like flounder fishing , with loads of them around the estuaries, quite a few well over the two pound mark at -arnside --greenodd--priory point area and others

How does port Carlisle fish around this time mate?

port carlisle usually goes off about now crack off to about mid march start of april,then itll slowly start to pick up again.havent fished it since late november though so i could be wrong but thats the usual way of it.

its been a decent cod season over here,still a few fish around if you are coming over give us a shout and ill try and keep you right.

the last i heard it was fishing well,and might fish on a bit longer as it is in other estuaries in the south of cumbria

no matches for a while yet.
senhouse open on easter saturday.usually plaice/flats /late codling.workington jetty to maryport pier.no times yet but usually a morning match.
20 may maryport sweep.plaice,flats,eels,bass.same boundaries.
2 june port carlisle open.flounders.pegged match.
3 june nw rockhoppers bass open.baywatch hotel allonby-tommy legs silloth.
bass,flounder,plaice,eels.
10 june silloth championships.pegged match.
14 oct maryport open.pegged on maryport prom this year(i think)
4 nov nw rockhoppers cod open.workington jetty-dubmill pipe.won with a bag of mainly doggies this year.
24 nov harrington open.a heaviest cod match.workington blocks -parton.fished over some of the best marks in cumbria lowca/harrington/salterbeck fished very well this year andwould have been some big weights in a bag match.probably40 lb ish.heaviest cod was 5lb 4oz but there was a few bigger congers out but payout on cod.
there is probably four or five more matches but these are the only dates i have.
