Daft Hours Fishing.

After spending 8 hours afloat yesterday in brisk winds for 5 undersize coalies we decided to leave the lobster pot out overnight next to the pier and pick it up this morning before the winds turned northerly. Told the wives we'd be back before dinner, and got to the marina at 9.45 and hauled the empty pot at 10.00. Me and Big Tel were both thinking the same thing, no wind, calm sea and sunny. B@llo*ks lets have an hours fishing, so out came the Hokeyes and Pirks.
Within and hour 8 fish, 4 codling to keep and 4 undersize and without a GPS, Fishfinder, flask or sarnies. Back home for the mince and dumplings at 12.30 and fish n chips tomorrow. Lifes good when you're not locked in...:) never mind lads wont be long now.........Chris...

Nice one Chris started two new factory units this week so i have had to work all weekend to get a good start on the ground works but i might sneek a couple of hours in through the week if it steadies :cool:up. :D Ar cun smell the cod boys arm a cummin:D

Nice one lads, I hope your dinner wasn't in the dog.;). Some sessions are just ment to be, and that one was, well done:D. arthur

No Arthur it was in the microwave, but an hour later and it could've been. I'm still trying to match the haul you had a couple of weeks back , like you say some sessions are meant to be, meant to ask where do you get your bendy anchors from...

nice one chris, it must have been a case of "Extra sensory perception" that kept you out to go fishing (or maybe just the yearn to do so lol)

well done on the catch lads ........... ps did you watch "the prisoner" on the TV this weekend ........... I didn't, I just went to Royal Quays instead !

Cheers Norman, must be frustrating but remember the old sayings...Good things come to those who wait,,,,,Patience is a virtue,,,,,and all that.. think of all the Hokeyes you're not wasting while trying to catch not much. You'll be parolled just in time to bag up next week..:) so happy days ahead.:D

Well done mate wish we knew the secret for catching fish been out 5 times caught 2 fish:mad: We are newbies to this Boat fishing using Daylights. Muppets and Lures some baited but not getting any bites, need a GPS for some wrecks i think. We were out yesterday for about 5 hours and your right wind got up and freezing so we turned in:(

Hi Chris, I've got a welder,so just nip to the scrapyard for pieces of 1/4" mild steel and make a grapnel, weighted down with 6-8ft of chain. I'll be down for Lynches do on Saturday, hope to see you there. Arthur:)
