Daiwa repairs ????

I sent my slosh 30 to daiwa to get sorted (it's been playing up a bit), and got a phone call today from them telling me it will cost £89 to fix it...£89 !!!

Can anyone explain how a £60 reel can cost £89 to fix ?

I'll get someone local to have a look at it, and if it can't be fixed, guess what I'll replace it with......yeah....anything but a daiwa.

Please warn your colleagues not to use daiwa service if they need a reel looking at !

Aye the mind boggles Tony. Bad press won't do them any favours. Wouldn't care I've just won a Slosh30 at our annual presentation evening.Hope nowt goes wrong with it.

The reel is fine so long as you don't need it fixed, and if you do, don't send it back to daiwa !

i have never bought one for that reason, i know they are a great reel when working well but was told off a local tackle dealer to go with penn or abu for good quick and fairly cheap repair services. cant beleive 89 repair bill and only 60 to buy though no logic in that. hope you get it sorted tony m8

The parts and service are based on the rrp which is about £130.

Just put mine into local shop if I need a repair. I've always had good service from this guy as well for parts. Always prompt.
