many years ago, when I was an egg, I scrimped and saved, pawned the cat (porned the cat???) and nicked all the lead from the church roof to buy a daiwa sealine 200 and I loved it.
Shortly afterwards I discovered alcohol.
needless to say the reel lay forlorn and unloved for so long even I had forgot about.
My dear ol\' nan departed this world just before christmas and god love her she kept it for me all these years, warm and snug in an oily rag, waiting to be reunited with me when we cleared the house recently. Even the old daiwa 2 piece \'rod of iron\' was there as well.
So, the question to all you boaty people of superior knowledge is...was it ever any good?? are they still any good, compared to some of the modern windy things.
I have to say, the build quality is awesome - after lying unused all these years, the clutch is sweet as anything - even though it had been left fully tightened!
As an Homage to me dear old nan, I\'m going to use it in the boat comp, and dream back to those heady days out of whitby catching giant flip flop and plastic cup eating cod
