Dave H,s rod rebuild

Dave dropped his rod at mine yesterday what he got off the for sale section a dymic lt 14 ,to say it has had a good life would be a under statement the blank was chipped and heavily scratched but this was not all the butt had been cut by about 6" and a piece off another rod rammed up the butt as some sort of reducer.on futher investigation the rod had been sprayed black as the rod blank was originally purple terry woods had done the rebuild i think which was a 1st class job anyway i set out to do hopefully a bit magic on the rod here are some pictures of the rod b4 and after when it is finished

how much that cost mine was a bit battered but still a quid short of £70 and i provided me own guides :question:
