decent headlamp

I've seen loads of people on about cree 1800lm so just bought myself one for the weekend as mine isn't the brightest. Can't grumble at £16 with free delivery.

Iv had a tiga lamp for years and I love it, but iv just bought 2 of them cree headlamps for £16 each and bought some rechargeable battery's and there spot on for the price like.

ebay mate, order from UK if possible though, I bought one from China when they first started becoming popular and had a problem with the mount on it which took months to resolve. For the money they are superb though, blindingly bright and rechargeable, spot on.

I spent ages and ages looking for a decent headlamp for not to much coin. The fenix hp11 got a lot of appraisal and it looks spot on. The cree lamps from china also got plenty of mentions. But I don't like a wire running from the lamp to the battery pack, I've had to many fail like this, so in the end I went for a Princeton tec eos. Waterproof and sturdy as hell with no wire, just put 3 aaa in the back. It's not the brightest on the beach at 80 lumens but I'm sure it's more than that because it's as bright as my old led lensor which was 140 lumens. Above all though from reviews it's a dependable lamp with more than a enough light for places I fish. I picked one up for 30 quid.

If you can get one what about a oldham the type used down the pit's and for caving only down side that they are a bit heavy but are good

My old Granda "borrowed" me one of those from Easington colliery back when we had a mining industry. They were cracking lamps for their day but I lost mine somewhere along the way after packing in fishing for a few years when I lived down south.

Got a Speleo Anglers Headlight now which is the Oldham lamp by any other name; it's getting a bit tired now after nearly 6 years use, doesn't hold charge like it used to and the beam is not as bright. Going to raid the penny jar and see if there is enough for a Fenix HP11, heard nothing but good things about them personally I prefer a lamp with a good track record and one I can send back if owt goes wrong

Make sure you wire it up to a car battery

Mine must be hungry, it destroys my batteries

Probably just be mine like, anyone else had this?
