Hi,
I bought a load of runnydown frozen down for the winter. I put them in a freezer in my shed but accidently turned it off and didn\'t find out untill they had been defrosted, possibly for a few days. :casstet:
I immeadiatly turned the freezer back on but am not sure if the worm will be useable now?
I know a lot of people swear by stinky bait, but am not sure. I will be using them for cod fishing from beaches.
Are they woprth keeping or should i just bin them?

Cheers :)

smell them if they smell ok use them or refreeze them
thats what i like about runnydown theres no waste
you can defrost them and still refreeze them no bother

use them, runnidown is one of the very few baits that is just as good after been thawed and refroze several times, in fact i often find they fish better that way !

i thought i was the only one to do that trick i refroze mine and they fished no bother i just put then on the hook semi frozen from my flask. jamcod.

I guess you\'ve got your answer, Geoff.

I\'ve used runny which has been frozen / thawed as regularly as the arctic sea.....lol

John, Steve what are you two trying to say lol. A man has feelings you know. Steve ask anyone who knows about films, the rank organisation did ok mind lol.

Jim.

Nice bonus that Geoff lol. One of my thoughts on refreezing baits is, If you can get it in and out of the freezer without swmbo smelling it and you don\'t have to pour it onto the hook it must be ok lol.
I have caught some good fish on shellfish especially that may have been out 5 0r 6 times. As Steve says it can sometimes be a wee bit smelly.

Jim.

Just had a thought mate. How about keeping them separate and letting us know how you get on with the fresh and the not so fresh. Might be interesting.

Jim.

reminds me when me and my mate were young uns and pocket money was stretched we used to shell mussel into a jar. after use just top it up again. Sometimes it was stinking but the coalies loved it.
