Well first time up derwent me and Jonny headed up there
about 6am crying ;lol2; we where first in the queue pay our
money and way we went first cast jonny got take and the first
trout of the day was landed then it was my turn my first trout

This pic is looking down towards th dam.

Then jonny had another hit this is him playing the fish so to speak ;lol2;

We had a few more fish between us and then it went quiet so jonny had a few winks ;lol2;

as the day went on the fishing got quieter we packed in about 2.30pm i ended up with 6 and jonny 3

here is a pic of my 6 fish

And my bigest 2 fish one just over 2lband one just uder 3lb.

Had a cracking day out cant wait for the next one cheers jonny lad.

Well done on the catch Eddie , i love fishing the Derwent it's a cracking place with plenty areas to fish .

I usually fly fish up there but fancy taking the lad up to do a bit of bait fishing

do you ledger fish or do you find bubble floats better ? also does power bait just go on your hook like a paste?

You can use a bubble float but i would try it in a few weeks time cos the fish are still staying in deep water. just roll the power bait up in to little balls and let them dry out over neet and just thread it on ya hook use a half ounce weight and a 2/3 foot hook length.
