went up to derwent after work yesterday fished for about 1/2hr not a touch tried all the usual colors and patterns nowt put a orange fritz on instant success started catching fish fished till about 7,30 ended up with 8 fish best 6,3/4 lb
smallest 2,3/4lb and returned 3 all in all a good night.

Cracking bit of sport fishman.
It makes life a bit sweeter when you finally get the catching pattern right.
Nice fish by all acounts, well done mate.

I,m planning to go on Sunday for the day.Bought some Dawsons olives. I,m gonna try them and some of the free flys i got with me rod and reel package.

Can anyone explain how you fish with two flys on your leader.

Do i just add another further up the leader?

German who's been on the sunbed too often??

might be this though or something similar (tail length varies)

as you come to the derwent off the A68 you'll see the turn off for cronkley, 200 yards further on is the bay, which will probably be worth a shot, the warm weather usually gets a good rise going in there, bit further you get to the sailing club, drive 500yards further on and park up, that bit of bank up from the sailing club tends to be the most productive

yep thats the fly but in bright orange caught all fish other day by keeping on the move coupe of casts then moveing on and doing the same probably be going back up on saturday if my mate gets his way.
