Hello lads, went back up today. It was very poor. Caught one small Brownie in the Bay of plenty (think its called that).
Tried all over. Fish were not interested in anything. One of the few other anglers i saw seemed to think it may have had something to do with all the rain fall.
Weather today was very poor cold and wet and quite windy.
Roll on some warm weather.

I went back today and it was the exact opposite. First rainbow just under 3lb. four more landed. Lost about 6-10. Used intermediate line with long leader orange and black fritz. And a sinking line dragging along the bottom. Lots of takes with this method using orange booby.
Arms and face sunburned YES SUNBURNED it was a lovely day.

Mick.

Yes it worked well but i was also impressed by the sinking line bring it in slowly across the bottom with a leadhead on the end of the short leader and a floating booby 12 inches away.

Reminded me of fishing with braid felt all the little knocks.
