Devon Shark

i think it should be illegal to chum for sharks from boats attracting them and associating boats with food ,doesnt help the kayakers and dingys much:mad:

that's a theory but I fished for tope for 40 yrs and had up to 15 in a session with chum, 1 or 2 or blank without, I think its the scent not the boat, I used to work with a lad worked on a trawler in Australia said when they were gutting you could have walked on the sharks off the back of the boat soon as you finished they were gone, a kayak got more chance attracting sharks with the noise off their paddles and silhouette from below still wouldn't catch me on one them guys must be as hard as nails

Jeremy Wade showed that the Bull sharks in South Africa had learned to associate boats with food...

...he had one tracked to within 20 feet of a boat not much bigger than an Orkney :o

They're not stupid :yltype:

must be right if Jeremy Wade says so I stand corrected, any creature will learn by repetitive process which I said about the boats in Australia but when there are hundreds of commercial boats and private boats gutting fish over the side a onion sack with chopped up mackerel over the side is not going to make a great deal of difference in my opinion
