While out trying to catch pot bait, I pulled in this 2 lb cod on daylights

nice catch approx 15 years ago for around a week we were catching cod to 5lb with the spinners early in the morning from the shallows on blyth pier never known it since though.

That little kid pulled in more mackeral than me
I only got 4.
He had about 6

Seen a lad pull one in the other year off Blyth pier using the same method

My youngest brother (our Steve) and his mate used to fish for cod off the SE corner of S/Shields pier in spring / early summer mornings (first light) using deep spun red artificial eels back in 1989/90 and they used to do alright.

I tried it 2 year ago (when he reminded me about it) and got nowt

Me and a couple of lads went for the macky on shields pier on thursday and one of the lads pulled in plaice on daylights!

there was a lad on a boat from amble last week caught a 1lb dab on a jigger & muppet. silly little bugger
