got a new pump and going to try it tomorrow at whitburn low tide do i only look for small round casts or is there many to look for.

Whitburn beach has loads of casts mate also could be worth trying a few of the blow holes see if there is any blacks doubt it but worth a try on these big tides mate

I remember once I dug for worm down there. First time I think it was. I got about 20 with a garden fork. Some of them were tiny, I'm talking an inch long of fat bit. Didn't have much hope when I put them on my home tied size 2 2 hook flappers, but I must have done summit right cos I got a bite a chuck with some good flounders over a pound even on the tiny ones. The fresh bait I had went in an hour and then the bites dried up when I started with frozen blacks. I guess what I'm saying is, don't discount the small worms you find cos they're a bugger to dig out and you'll still get bites on them

some of the smallest casts i,ve had the biggest worms out off but you still need to no what your looking for some days the yellows just do,nt show with the pressure etc but i,ve had some good days down with the pump pinching codseekers worms and chappa,s lol

what lovely day it was down beach.
first try ever with a bait pump and my arm is killing me lol
