Gonna try bit fresh water from this weekend and fancy a dinghy with an electric motor to get up and down the river , could anyone give me a bit of advice on a decent model of dingy that would hold 2 men ?
If its a fast flowing river have a little petrol outboard too to be on safe side, I have an 12' cathedral hull yak which holds 2 anglers safely with electric trolling motor and 2.5hp mariner. This is what I use on smaller waters in milder months.
A fish finder is good too. Also safety first with life jacket and mud weights.
to start im just going up north a bit , just passed amble place called warkworth , my parents have a caravan there so just gonna try out the river for trout and salmon . i just fancy trying it out for a change
That stretch is owned by the Duke of Northumberland run by Northumbrian Anglers Federation. Pretty strict restrictions on the tidal stretch. Not sure if you are allowed to fish from boats. Visit their website to check www.nortumbriananglersfed.co.uk
