Diver rescued at Beadnell

Go on you buggers, laugh at other peoples misfortunes, don\'t you know that car was once somebody\'s pride and pleasure.................and now look at it! :D :D

Paul has asked me to post the pic of the sea state that the lucky diver(ars*) was out for a little swim about in.

Bear in mind Lads, thic pic was takien 2 hrs before High water..

Dont know how true it is but i\'ve heard tonight from someone in Eyemouth that the Disco owner had already been pulled off the slip earlier, then went back for another go !!!!! the man who pulled him off the forst time wouldnt do it the second time

Being a qualified diver, I was reading this thread with a somewhat cynical view......

Then I saw the pictures that gogs posted :o

If a few waves can do that to metal, imagine what it could do to us :(

One thing I think we learn as anglers is to respect the sea - it is fascinating and enticing, but we know that it is deadly and merciless.

Shame the people I see going for an \'early morning swim\' don\'t realise that

That picture takes me back to being a daft 16 year old at Beadnell. My mate had a caravan up there and we would get dropped off for cider from the co-op and a weekend of larks and one of the first times we went we were on the beach jumping into seas like that and getting thrown up the beach thinking it was great. It\'s not \'til you get older that you realise how stupid it can be.

I wonder how often the press get onto divers when this happens tough as if they\'re stupid as usually happens with anglers. They usually get shown as lucky accidents!

The Guy that was rescued at Alnmouth had originally managed to swim to the shore....And then guess what????/ The idiot decided he would try and rescue his boat! The incling of sympathy I had for him went out of the window once I read about that.

don\'t you think it\'s time to bill these idiots???, every year it\'s the same old story, kids swept out to sea on plastic boats or li-lows,fishing and pleasure boats at sea without the propper gear and in wrong sea conditions, the list goes on and on. They don\'t care a hoot that some-one may have to endanger their life to dig them out off the cr*p and I bet their the type that look the other way when the lifeboat collection boxes are out. sorry but it makes me so mad :casstet: fishy1

Hi. Been reading this thread in the archive with some interest, but can\'t see the pictures of the discovery. Anyone still got the pics somewhere and willing to post em? Cheers,
Andy

Andy.i still have the picture of the sea state and the area where the guy was rescued from, but i dont have the ones of the wrecked disco.
i never have much luck at getting pictures to appear on the board these days it used to be a piece of piss in the past (think thats the reason the pics dont show now as they were on a different uploader)
if you want to see the pic i have send me a pm with your e-mail and i will post it to you.
