he shudnt have to take a set of scales to the shop to weigh his worms!!!!!!!!

no matter how good or bad the bait is he should of got 4 ounces what he paid for!!!!!!

ya cant look at it and say oh it looks like there is 3qaurters of an ounce short in that packet.

not good at all...... and it isnt the only person ive heard say something like this.

iv never been to the shop but have fished near people who have and think the bait is spot on i couldnt comment on it but for the lack of weight. his scales might need re calibrated and was a honest mistake and he didnt know

If they do need recalibrated, pity they weren't out the other way ehh!

mate, i know some shops where u can buy 4 oz of water and paper with an occasional worm chucked in ....and thats after complaining ....

If I bought that, then complained, and was sold it a second time I would slander the shop everyday on the forums so everyone knew about it. You should be getting what you pay for, simples!

As do i, but it happens everywhere. The meat we buy is injected with water to increase weight. Bacon is a prime example. They shouldnt but they do because they can :)

mate i only use the shop in question when desperate....if not i wud rather drive to sunderland or stockton or hartlepool for that matter. i have stopped buying rods reels and bit n bobs from that shop too simply because i dont see the point in supporting someone who just dont seem to care. i went in for rag coupla sessions back and got given harbour rag by mistake ...hint hint!!!

thnks for the feed bk just though ied bring it to ppls attention. the old lads that owned the frirage were much better . :D

Bait

I heard he was telling people loads of fish were being caught just so he could sell worm, but its only heresay.!

his worm is **** hot when the tides are big because a good mate of myne digs it. but thats not the point.... the point is he got less than what he paid for.

If it's fresh dug rag, the worms are usually very wet when fresh - it wouldn't surprise me if the vermiculite soaked up a good bit of water from the worms as that stuff weighs next to nowt when dry. Just a thought.........

Gary :)

spotter i heard u went to the king oswy fish shop for ure rag worms and an half lot of the little women ;) up and down and spin her round

I have met Alan a couple of times when buying bait from his shop and the guy is top dollar. I personally find his bait good stuff. Vermiculite wieghs nowt. I know as i used to install fires when i was bricky and we insulated the fires with the stuff. The vermiculite soakes up the moisture.
Mick.
