The weather forcast today was light winds and a fairly calm sea just what a first time boat angler would pray for today it was this man first time boat fishing and he had a day he will never forget a double figure cod and ling on his first time on a boat what more could you ask.
Its wasnt long before he was pulling the cod in on the shad but when he got this fish on i instantly new he had hooked something better sure enough when i it came to the surface i could see it was double figures a bonny fish just wighing short of 15lb.
A lovelly fish but more was to come.
On his next drop his rod was bouncing all over the place a good bend on the rod.
My crewman dave goes with the net as the fish comes to the surface
A nice ling weighing over 16lb and 15lb cod in two drops
At the same time father and son team also get 2 nice ling dad gets the best this fish was also ounces off 16lb.
The lads at the end of the day some good sized and cod and ling jus a few fish of there catch.
