Aye shields pier throws up only a couple of sole a year to rod and line so It's a canny tick ! On the other hand there is a lot of the arze soles found on the pier during the summer months !

Not a good idea to get them mixed up. You end up eating disgusting food with a cooked face.

well done. Never caught a Dover sole and I have fished on the South coast a few times. Also never caught a Pouting off shore. And the Lobster-well had one of them from Shields but not a keeper.
