Well it's been a while since I posted never mind since I went down to the boat.
I've been busy since October with work, wife and the little man (he's now 18 months) so I've just never made it down to the boat for months on end.
After all the s**t with the outboard I think I give up for a bit and just concentrated on everything else but today I had to pop down to see if I still had a boat!
When I got down to the marina I noticed the boat leaning over to the right which is what I expected (well I actually expected it to be at the bottom of the marina lol).
There was around 3 or 4 inches of water in her which was frozen over, took a while but I broke the ice up and got rid of the excess water.. much to my suprise the battery was still going strong so that was a good thing!
I decided to at least try the engine, although (when I was last in the boat) the engine worked it was not pumping water very strong at all (impeller housing is fooked) and not much of a suprise I got no where. I'm thinking the OB is still quite frozen as she was trying to start up but I could never seem to pump the fuel through from the fuel tank.. I could just keep pumping and pumping!
As the new season is coming up fast I will need to make some choices, fix the OB on the boat or replace the ob on the boat.
I'm thinking of getting a new OB (well 2003+ model) but it will leave with with further problems. No trailer and Hartlepool wont lift the boat as it's under 6m!
I have a few months to try and work something out but on the up side the boat didn't sink through winter lol
