Druridge bay turbot

Braved the rubbish weather this morning to head into Northumberland with Fishingmark who was still buoyed after his nice codling yesterday. Met with a lively looking sea and lot of mist and had high hopes of something silver. Found a nice little spot with a gully running between the beach and a sandbar. No fish for the first hour or so but once the tide turned it was like chucking a light switch on. Nice little dab, a couple of flounder and my first (although very small) Turbot!! Was over the moon as it was one of the fish I had wanted to target. Still basking in my glory when mark also pulled on in :o both ended up with a few various flatties but once the rain started it was a pain so I've come back for some dinner! Enjoyable few hours out. Rag and maccy used at short range into the surf. :D

Yeah but I can't upload off my computer for some reason. Mark was gonna do it but he is off down the pier this afternoon so will stick it on later mate

Well done on your turbot mate, I was pleased to pick another one up myself, made up for that rotten weather. Managed an eelpout for the species hunt as well as some tiddlers from the pier.
