Fished the pipe in the centre of Druridge last night. Flat sea, Low tide. Dusk into dark. Beautiful evening. Expected flounders so used lug. Rag and Mackie strip.
No flounders but managed a fat Dab 11oz and a size whiting and a little turbot that went back. Also took a weever and managed to unhook it without commiting suicide.
Reckon it might be better high tide but enjoyed it.:D

Next week is Blackberry week school holiday, whenever we took our lads to the coast years ago at this time of year we always made sure they wore old trainers if they went near the water. Better safe than sorry as far as they are concerned.

That is strange about the weaver fish on this beach.I've fished all over the UK and i had never caught a weaver until last year when i fished Druridge bay. Answers on a postcard ???
