charter boats fish right next to the skeer so must be quite deep

18-22ft low water 30-35ft high - very rough guide but should answer your question.

Deep Enough, And a very nice place to scuba during the times where anglers are not populating it. (During football matches, or the F1) lol 
but dave craig is right, it varies between 18-22ft low water 30-35ft high water, on springs it touches 39 but thats about 15ft out from the skeer. there is a massive shelf there on the left hand side and the right, anyone who has fished the left hand side should know that close in its incredibly snaggy, and thats because you are retreving over an underwater shelf Theres a few lobsters hiding in the holes there too, but whenever im there diver knife is critical, the ammount of gear i retreive from there is astounding. Last dive was last year like, but in 45 mins i got 4kg of lead weights and 1kg of line << binned obviously. But you can really tell its a popular mark
