Earthworms

Nope, they turn to mush cause of the salt water,i have heard of people catching flatties on them further up rivers

Tried them when I was a kid, caught little puddlers on them in the harbour, as Vamp says I've had little flatties chase them in s/sluice harbour back in the early 80's - but then they were chasing owt you put on the hook that summer!

My mate's caught a flattie on them near Durham when float fishing for trout!!!

Might work on a float for mackerel as they seem to hit anything that moves and a lad I know caught a coalie on a ham sandwich so who knows? Can't imagine cod going for them though as they seem just a little bit more fussy lol

caught flatties on them in the river trent in North Lincs when I was a kid, thats if the Eels didn't get to them first
