Fished ,horden, then easington beach ,nothing there ,then moved to hawthorn point, we fished in total from 9.00am until 5.00pm we had 6 rods out and had rag, runnydown, lug ,sticky blacks, squid, mussel and razor fish ,we came away with the grand total of, ZERO ,not even a bite, that is my last sea fishing trip until the new season starts in october, hope it will be better then :(

had hounds on the cliffs yesterday, theres some sort of boom on horden beach, dont know why or what its for but its fairly big, could be something to do with few fish in the area

unlucky mate, i was a bit further north later on, i think my fish was a looky one as apart from it the fishing was poor.

Its the time of the year. Its a case of me fishing two rods. Big one out looking for the lunker-the other close in bashing flatties.
Mick.

was that you parked at the top of hawthorn point?? saw a silver car from the main seaham road.

Dont give in yet, still time to get a few. sods law it will probably fish well tonight.

Must have been the farmers car, as he has stopped people driving down as his fields were getting wrecked, and he did come down to see if we had caught anything. The pike fishing will take most of my time up,the sea gear has been cleaned and put away until sep,oct time, but good luck to all those who keep trying, and will keep reading the forum to see if anything is being caught ---Karl
