Me and Stefan(wallsendfisherman) fished from half 7- 11 , the was a nice swell on 3rd cast seen me land a 40cm codling caught on lug rag and squid. The rest Off the night was slow and wind was making it very difficult to sea any bites so it was a case of just reel up and hope, quarter to 11 we baited up our last chuck each.Rods where out for about 15 minutes when we reeled up I noticed Stefan had a nice bend in his rod after the scrap it surfaced about 20 yards out we could see it was a nice fish, easy 6lb in my opinion as I grabbed his rod for him he attempted the lift as he did this a roller knocked the fish straight off the hook GUTTED!! Baits used where rag fresh lug blacks razor and squid
