I'm due to take the father in law fishing for a week up Berwick next week and as he's not as fit or as light as he once was, I need to find somewhere that's not too hard to get too. If anyone could give me any hints I would be grateful.

Also I'm looking for some lug, rag and peeler to take so what would be the best place to get it, from Billingham up to Berwick?

Not sure about easy fishing marks at Berwick, but bait wise give Trevor a
ring at billingham tackle box and order it, 01642 532034. you will struggle to
get bait at Berwick.

Berwick pier's easy to get to mate, free car parking at the end of it and usually pretty quiet place.

The rocks at the end of the pier at Berwick are a great low water mark. You only need a forty yard lob but don't try it with a sea running...

Scremerston beach throws some good flattish and along the road leading to it there are several spots where you can park and see mixed beach/rock areas that are often productive.

Eyemouth snd St Abbs have loads of marks. Coldingham bay can fish well or the rocks below the caravan park at Berwick or below the Ramparts trading estate offer good fishing :)
