Easy Access

Hi all newbie here again,
I'm taking the old man out on Wednesday morning for a few hours fishing just local (Tynemouth/Whitley) and was wondering if anyone could suggest a spot that is easy reachable, I say this as he has just had a knee opp and can't go scrambling over rocks just yet but is eager to cast a line. I was thinking somewhere where I can park the car close to us.
Also was wondering if anyone had fished off the outdoor pool as its high tide around eleven and wondered if it was worth it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

They're very, very small tides this week, which are never the best - but a couple of easy access marks that spring to mind would be the ramp on Tynemouth pier, fishing into the haven for flounders or the Middens car park (at the far left end) - again flounders being the main target. You won't need anything fancy bait-wise either - rag/mackerel or crab will do the business.

I don't think I've ever fished the bathing pool at high tide, but would think it a better night-time shot.

Gary :)

Thanks for the info lads, regarding Goats and Warriors, is that the area behind the pub where there is a little promenade and what's it like for loosing gear.
Also years ago you used to fish of the rocky part at the start of Lloyd's jetty to the right of the middens, is that any good these days?
Thanks again lads, much appreciated.

Yes that's the place
Be prepared to lose gear.
Trick is to keep the weight from rolling into crevices
I use a 6oz with long gripper wires seems to do the trick for me (usually)

Once again many thank for the info lads.
Think I'll give Seaton Sluice ago next time as I cleared the Haven and the Middens of their entire crab community yesterday as every cast was a bloody crab. Unsure as to what I had been doing wrong, I had Rag worm, Mussel and Black Lug but as soon as the bait hit the water out came the crabs. Bad luck I suppose, but still had a good time as it's been years since I fished anywhere. At least it's renewed my interest in fishing.
Really appreciate the help cheers again.
