I knew i should,nt have put the gear in the car today but was visiting relatives in my old town of Hartlepool so the stuff went in. Got some cracking rag and lug from NETS on Mainsforth Tce.

Started on Parton beach but sea was a flat as a pancake and tide dropping-------worst condtions you can have here. Moved round to the headland for a while but wind pain. So back on Parton then the rain started so after couple of hours called it a day.

Disappointed. Heugh looks like it has the fence on from Colditz. No more Steetly. Think i will be fishing Shields a bit more this season.

mick we been still getting makerel. we had 1 the other day no more than a couple of hundred yards off.

seen 1 lad at parton with a viz jacket on , was using a sandspike to rest rod on this wasnt you was it?

this was around 1.30ish.
