What happened to the 8mph westerlies
Went out at 8am to catch the rising tide with all the weather forcasts saying a nice gentle westerly / south westerly all day , hit the wrecks I thought
, and went out to the six mile line only to find the wind direction was south easterly all day and peaking at 17mph....... the fishing was pants too , plenty mackerel about , and whiting , and coalies ...... but only one solitary codling to show for a full tank of fuel and what seemed like a zillion miles travelling trying to find the fish.
I just looked up my report from this time last year and the same result was had then .... might give the longest day or thereabouts a miss next year.
Have to say though , I enjoyed my run about in the boat , better than work innit
