Embleton 28/12/13

Took two of my sons, Sam, 19 and David 24, up to Embleton beach last night. Using fresh lug, two little tommies to start with then we watched David's cheap and cheerful rod start heading out to sea. We screamed at him to strike and he pulled in a 9 lb 10 oz cod, biggest fish we have caught.
Most interestingly David wasn't that keen to go fishing in the first place!!!

Thanks guys, as I said, he was fishing with cheap and cheerful £29.99 gear off Fleabay and not casting very far out either!!!
Its his younger brother who now wants to beat him!!

Nice fish mate well done, I've fished for 10 years and never had one that big and yes photos can deter what it looks like it weighs but that's what the scales say so that's what it is. Nevermind any fish worth taking home is a good one in my eyes
