Haven't been fishing in about 15 years and went to Embleton Bay from around 3.30pm low tide til around 1am saturday morning. No bites at all til just before high tide at 9pm then it picked up, catching a small turbot, 5 small flounder (all returned). Then with about an hour or 2 to go i almost sliced 2 of my fingers of while sharpening my knife, the fish must have smelled the blood or something because ended up with a double sided 1lb 6oz flounder and what i think were 3 coleys (1lb 8oz was the best, other 2 were slightly smaller). Can't wait to go back. Does anyone fish at Lynemouth, I used to go there every week when i was a young'n, thinking about trying there as always seemed to catch a few.....

Hi mate, for Embleton we just head straight through towards the golf course and parked at the couple of bins just outside the golf club, there is a public footpath straight through the golf course down to the beach, only a 5-10 minute walk. Once on the beach we fished around 50-100 yards to the right of where we walked onto the beach, relatively new to fishing so we were only casting 75 yards or so. Hope this helps mate...

Well done that man. Are you sure they were coalies? I'm just wondring whether they might have been bass?:o
