Had a few hours over low water on the beach Thursday night. Bait was nice rag dug on Tuesday and fish baits. Got down about 5.30pm with low water at around 7.30pm. Place was littered with jellyfish including this one

Slow start with nothing doing at all, there were little flounders scattering as I walked through the water. Just before low water suddenly bites started. Double shot turbot and flounder, not massive, both taking worm tipped with fish, the plain rag left.

Baited up with three plain fish baits and as tide started to flood another double shot of small flounder then it went off. Lad I was with had a small flounder and small turbot but that was it. Nice night but a bit disappointed with the fishing, maybe a bigger tide was needed.

The lad I was with fished Druridge Friday morning and had 14 flounder, turbot and dabs with 5 to size.

Cheers, our lass said "Why have you taken a photo of a ruler buried in the sand?"

... and she's supposed to be bright :D

Shame you had nowt bigger mate.Nice evening to be out though.

Thats a Lions Main jellyfish and its a small one, they grow a lot bigger than that with the tenticals trailing up to 30ft.
And they do sting.......

We moved down towards the south Tony but still nowt, even tried a flounder spoon. Wondering if the westerley breeze which was quite strong or the smaller tide made a difference. Going to try again in a couple of weeks with my little lad.

Nice to get a decent sunset

Well done Peter-i have yet to catch a Turbot.

Last time out on boat at Seahouses i could see loads of Jelly Fish sub-surface. I even saw a seagull eating one--it must have been hungry.

Mick.

Brill pictures mate. Looks like an ace beach. Went to Druridge tonight for a walk and there was so many jellyfish it was unreal! Good to see a turbot by the way, well done :)

Cheers
Dean
