Fished there loads as a kid mate, staying at the caravan park. That pier is small so will need high tide to catch anything. Small coalies and stuff almost down the side but that was about it. Should keep the kids happy though if your brave enough to take them on.... Never caught anything off the beach but there mist be flatties there! Might be worth getting some crab handlines and just mess about in the rock pools?

burnmouth.

Never take kids on their not safe mate we found a place 7 min drive away on a wooden jetty ner the rnli lonch
.if youve got transport scotty, above is a canny little pier to take the kids.h/w.can watch couple of small boats landing there crab @ lobsters.DONT be shy, they usually sell them 50P EACH,yes 50p each, thats the eater crab, not the lobsters.mind its a STEEP drive, but safe enough.theres also a porto toilet there if needed.goodluck.

used to go out boat fishing at burnmouth years agao thats a hell of a bank down to the pier but a cracking place

just right (looking over to Berwick) of the spittal rnli launch station you'll see the estuary sands, easy fishing into the river with a good depth and a canny little shot for flatties plus you can get a barby going:D

Well just not long back from the caravan did not get chance to go fishing due to condition not good a nuff for the kids but always next time but what a did do is scout out a few promising shots at low tide for next time
