Long range forecast is for an "arctic" Northerly next weekend, with the possibility of snow showers in the highlands. Looks as though the Northerly weekends are back (might bring some of that cod in shore for us land lubbers though!)

Well I don't know about Arctic but it's def looking lumpy :(

Kiss of death buying a new rod methinks :(

Had a feeling in me water it might be alright - prob just a kidney stone

Yeah, looks like it's been downgraded somewhat!!!. Probably a bit lumpy on Saturday, Sunday's a bit lumpier!. We can lookforward to some pics of the new rod in action after all. By the way a lad at work's brother in law had a 17lb cod off the yellow can on Monday.

When you say the Yellow Can, where exactly do you mean? right on top of it or just around it? cos we've been there twice now with four of us and we've all blanked.

All round the Yellow Can is rough ground/reef...you can be anything up to 200-300 yards away (in all directions) from the Buoy itself and still catch fish...it's a case of drifting/cruising around and finding the money spot :)

You`ll be first to know Mr Charlton :) there again since it`s Frasers Boat comp on Sunday you`ll probably be there anyway .................... mackerel on the menu no doubt ;)

Just as well Alan, as that 17 pounder turned out to weigh 9 pounds when I asked the lad to confirm with a pic.

well news of a 9lb is still news, cheers John. Norman do you think match will be on, hope so only got a few mackerel left from the ones I got of Alan Skinner. Anything goes, cod, ling, mackerel, coalies, pollock, salmon, sea trout, anything you dont want, except wrasse.

By the way, I am doing the weigh in, again.
