My mate fished it last season,took ling to 10lb,never blanked.Its skippered by a guy called John,I think who has the tackle shop on the headland

The tackle shop on the healdland is the Friarage Tackle shop now run by Bert who also has Coast road tackle at Horden. Opens early on a weekend for the boat lads in case you forgot anything. Good bait to be had at both shops. Bert\'s missus runs the horden shop (Elaine)
Has a little tea place on the back at the headland and the skippers are usually in there and boat trips can be arranged. Bert has his own 16 footer in the dock behind the shop [Kafiga landings].

How did you get on Jason ? We went out on Flamer II out of Hartlepool on Sunday and had a great day. No really big fish - 3 or 4 Cod were around the 7-7 1/2lb mark, but plenty of Cod were taken, whiting, as mant mackerel as you wanted and a 3lb-ish Haddock.
Fantastic boat, great skipper who puts you on fish, glorious sunshine and a great day was had by all.
