Woke up 3am straight out the car fishing the same mark as yesterday evening. Good bites straight away, lost 2 very good fish on the way in, one bit my hook off (i was using heavy braid as well) definately a spur and lost another very heavy fish that stayed deep and frayed my main line on the ledge, anyway third time lucky a screaming run off a thorny, after a good dogged fight it tipped the scales at 8lb 4oz. Lots of joey mackerel catching on the daylights so some lovely fresh bait for tonight. After daylight i only got one more run got it half way in then all went slack, another bite off.
Going into oban now for some wire or suitable braid for hook lengths for tonight. Think i' ll fish the church beach over low this evening then get some kip and up around half two again.
