Started off fishing the Fish quay at 7pm (Myself Phil and Kris) and by 8.30 had nothing to show and were loosing loads of gear on the bottom. There were loads of big mackreal being caught on the float near the fishing boats.
Decieded to move and we tried the little beach just around the corner, i had a good knock almost straight away but nothing came of it. Very slow with no more bites so we headed to Blyth beach and fished left of the pipe, there were loads of people fishing on the right side so we hoped they knew something we didn't but it wasn't to be...not even a bite in over an hour and a half so we decieded to try Blyth Quayside as nobody could be bothered to walk along the pier. Got there 11.30ish and Phil got chatting to a bloke who said he fished here loads and he told us where to cast to find a hole and said we should get plenty whiting, coalies, flatties and possibly small codling. No sooner were all the rods in the water we were all getting good knocks but we just couldn't connect with any fish:confused:  I don't know if it was just loads of crab as all baits were stripped every cast and Phil was going mad with the elastic:exclam: We finished the night with me getting two very small whiting...one on the float and one on bait...the bait it took was bigger than it:confused:  we called it a day at 2.30am and my son woke me up at 6AM:mad: Baits used were Fresh and frozen peeler, mussel, razor, blueys, squid, rag and lug. Oh and mackreal.
