Hi Lads, just read Ells post, re the Beacons. Reminded me of a few years back, I was fishing the sluice beach, and It WASNT that rough. anyway, I saw a guy on the Sumps at the north side of rocky Island, pulled a good codi in, so I moved near him, ( as you do) shortly, I was hit by a wave fromnowhere, and got soaked, I looked to where this guy was, and he wasnt. his gear was flat.. and he as nowhere to be seen, till a second wave washed him back onto the rocks. I ran over, his leg was snapped clean at the top of his boots. Me and another guy dragged him clear. when the medics came, it took them half an hour to find us, and took 4 of us 20 mins to get him to the ambulance. It was early december. If hed been alone hed have been a goner.
