Had a week at the caravan only managed to fish twice for a couple of hours each time because of the wearther. First time managed 2 Mackerel 3 small Pollock and a Sand Eel. Second time caught 3 Mackerel 1 Coddling and 3 small Pollock. All the fish caught on spinners. Where i was fishing there is a gully which gets cut off at high tide noticed 2 guys fishing on it at high tide must have went across at low tide. They started coming back about an hour after i arrived only to find the the gully was full of water 10ft wide and 8ft deep. They asked me what time high and low tide was. They had 3 choices either swim, wait for low tide or call for the life boat they decided to swim it. They threw there gear across to me left there tackle box to retrieve later when the tide had dropped they both swam across. Can not believe they had not checked the tides before going across this gully is only safe to cross max 2 hours either side of low water depending on the size of the tide.
