Headed up to Eyemouth at 11pm got there about 12:30 and after a scale down the rocks we set up and using yellowtails and frozen blacks from Reelsport and my own home made cart we had big bites from the off but kept pulling into snags, first 4 casts i had 4 good fish on but lost them all, taught myself a lesson so WILL be using rb's up there from now on, Then a bit later got another decent bite and only 20 yards out (was still at least 40ft deep) and finally got one in weighing 2lb 4

Decided to have a cast to the right and got a bite which practically doubled my rod over and this time I had a weak link on but took me into a snag again on the way in :(
After that it went quiet with a few more bites here and there but only ended up with the 1, To top the night off the sky was totally clear and the meteor showers were amazing

Not sure of the name of the mark Stan but we parked at a gate at the side of a house then walked right along the back of the caravan site to the end then climb down to the left, Its pretty steep and my mate said its where the divers go

nice one mate, sounds like yer were fishing down from the caravan park just before the cannons, heading south that is

We headed north around the back of the caravan park as we walked up the cannons were to our right, St abbs lighthouse was straight in front of us and coldingham bay

Think I know were you were with the red hills to your left. Had some nice red cod from there in the summer months when there with the caravan.
Shame about the lost fish mate, but at least next time you will know what to expect, and tackle up accordingly.

Well done on the one you got in, sounds like you would of had a canny few if it weren't for the snags.

I'll be wanting to try some rock marks up there when I get me new rod:D

Frustrating to lose fish like that but its been another venue that next time you will be prepaired for! Been there once but didnt get chance to fish it.. Looked mint area though, mite be worth while having a dodge up over the xmas hols.. Its not too far to go, esp when the potentials there to have a great session..

Yeah i will be having a couple of sessions up there over xmas, The lad who i fished with has been up the 2 weeks previous and had fish from 2 to 5lb, I have read a few times its not really worth fishing in winter but I beg to differ with the amount of times we connected with fish, Being honest though i wouldnt like that climb in the wet it was bad enough dry
