im going to fish a tynemouth club match up eyemouth on sunday but will it be worth it as the sea's are going to get up so the water will no doubt be coloured and i'm thinking that this time of year clear water is ideal for that area, i'm sure a few of you lads will know the area so will it be worth going up.

I don't think it will be worth going up to be honest Tony, I was up at St Abbs in good conditions (flat calm) last Saturday and didn't catch a thing, seems it's still a little too early at the moment. Any swell on the sea will cut your chances of catching even further but you can never rule out catching something!

Personally I would give it a miss up there this weekend.

thats what i was thinking mate, it'll be a long drive back if we blanked. cheers for the reply.

I was talking to some lads who'd been up last week; they never had a bite & spoke to a group of about 8 divers who'd been out for over 2 hours - not one of them saw a single fish the whole time! I'd be inclined to give it a miss..........................

Gary :)

Tony, Its not everyones cup of tea but have you thought about taking up carp fishing:question: As I said not to everyones taste:eek:, didn't think it was mine until today, fiirst time at carp angling and what a start a 12 pounder:). So when the sea angling is on the quite side I'm heading to a carp lake for some action.

no mate thats not for me, i dont like the idea of putting more money into the governments pockets for a rod licence so they can blow it on pointless expenses.:)
