Nice one Mark, was that you that came off Hairy Ness just as three of us were coming on? Had nowt myself, but one of my mates managed one for 2lb 7oz & dropped off another from the north side to win the Tynemouth AC match that we were guesting at.

Think all the fish must have been caught yesterday!:(

Cheers, Gary :)

Had only 2 bites in 5 hours - dropped one off after a few turns of the handle (felt small) & the other never came back. Some mates from the Sluice club were fishing the Cannons & did a lot better - one lad won their comp with 3 codlings & a pollock for just under 9lb I think, and the other got one pollock about 3 1/2 lb on the spinner (think he'd got a codling first chuck as well). I think most were caught before our start time of 10am, they'd started at 9 & were into fish straight away.

it fished better yesterday just before low tide then it went very quiet same today best to chuck in the direction of the bouy into the kelp had to jig the spinner along the bottom for the coddling lost 17 spinners in 2 days just aswell i make my own or it would have worked out very pricey
