Great idea Keith, I am surprised no one has thought of that before mate. :casstet:

I honestly can't understand why it was ever cancelled, it was usually the only time you saw the home teams try really hard.

It was probably cancelled because these "TOP" players get too tired very easily, bless them. I dunno how they manage, maybe they are having to run 2 jobs, I mean could you managae on £100k per week

Depends what you mean by managae mate , I would certainly try to struggle on for the cause though

This has been mentioned on here loads of times but I will say it again. No player should get payed for playing for their country it should be an honour, expenses only imho.

I think team selection has a lot to do with who sponsers who and whos wearing whos kit. The FA get a cut of everything generated by football so they will want a manager who they can "trust" to pick the right team

well hopefully next summer we'll have a break from the mass religion that is football....don't get me wrong, I get as passionate about it as the next man, but there's other interesting sports out there too...

Sam must be gutted, he was the first choice of a lot of England fans. I think McClaren was the first choice for a lot of the Scottish supporters

At the end of the day you can only blame the manager for so much...the so called "stars" of our game still have to pull it together and do the business...there was only one player on the pitch last night who was playing like he deserved it and that was Crouchy

If it was all about graft Sunderland would be top of the league, lost count of the number of dead balls Gerard wasted. Apparently Lampard covered more ground than anyone but apart from the penalty I can't remember him doing owt else.

The way i saw it Gerrard was all over the pitch covering Lampards arse , anyway they were not good enough whatever formation they played. as for the new manager, well the FA just want a yes man so you can count Sam out .:yltype:

I've often wondered, and don't know if there's a reason why not, but why can't the england manager have a club job as well??

lets face it its a part time job, ok you have to watch a lot of games to see what players are like, but if you're managing a club as well, you're gonna be doing that every week anyway

maybe there's summats in the rules that says you can't do both,
