Fancy joining a bandwagon?

Stop pigeons from roosting under railway bridges via humane methods , thats the one for me... sign up and save the flying rat :)

"instigate or recommend (to the relevant body) random drug testing for darts players"

"Allow heateachers more freedom on how they teach their students" - noticeably spelling I feel :D

"Request that the BBC abandon all reality television programmes"

"apologise for all the carbon emissions created by Britain’s ancestors"

...and so on

These are REAL issues people...we need to sign up and be counted :exclam:

aye I`d go for ban the txt spk evrywhere (is that spelt right)

since this seems like a kinda soap box thread, can I let a little loose for a moment ........
no answer?, ok good then here goes.......

Whats really getting up my nose at the moment (and for the opposite reasons as it may first seem) is all the smiles, cheers and encouragement for the new steamtrain the Tornado. Don't get me wrong, I`m an engineer and I think it`s a wonderful project (if you have the time and money) no probs there, and it's been done to a high degree of quality by the looks of it, so , well done.
What gets me is the same people that are hailing this a a fantastic nostalgic memorable step by humanity are the same ones that tell me I cant buy a lightbulb for my ageing sight impaired mother unless it`'s 40 watt and energy saving, the same people that say you cant drive your car unless the emissions are down to an xxx.xxx value, the same people that say you cant leave your TV on standby because of the waste of energy ....................... but , cover the countryside in coal dust, smoke and whateverelse burns in the inefficient engine of a steamtrain pulling tons of tons of weighted steel around and it's fine ..... well, is it?

if there were more steam trains working the bigger commuter lines in this country - Monday would not have cost £3 Billion in missed work hours - the first on out would just have to "steam the lines" clean ,like in the old days

and after all it looks canny good bellowing out all that steam and smoke on a winters morning -

This "Green House " malarchy is a crock of Sh!t me thinks - 300-400 years ago Volcanoes were blowing their stacks on a regular basis, and i dont see any reports of the world getting any hotter from emissions
