had a problem with me DAIWA SLX30SHV, all in bits after me daughters dog decided that reel would look really good spread all over the floor, all bits and pieces laid out on the towel dog jumps up to say hello catches his paw in the towel, well you can guess what happens next yep it was like a shell burst, managed to gather all the bits up well i thought, decided ill send it off to DAIWA UK explained what happened no problem send it up and we will get one of out technicians to have a look, week later box arrives today serviced all back together FREE OF CHARGE how's that for service thank you very much DAIWA. PS DOG still in the DOG HOUSE
 
I had a problem with one of my daiwa carp reels a couple of years ago, the spool was not oscillating, the reel was 2 years old and out of guarantee but was returned fully working free of charge. :thumbup:
 
I got a pair of Daiwa carp reels off ebay a few years back and the lad sent a knackered third along for spares. despite it being a few years old i sent it off to Daiwa and they fixed that FOC. :red:
 
broke a daiwa whisker kevlar with a lifetime guarantee - phoned up, asked how long i'd had it, said seven years - and was told thats about the lifespan of said rod! goodbye. looks like things have changed.
