Round nose leave a perfect smooth finish and don't damage the line and because it's crimped smoothly you can slide if crimped lightly.
These pliers cost £1,50 on ebay with free postage very strong" I use them to make my own rotten bottoms.
if you decide to make own lead links good for them too.
