South Shields Photographic Society have a \"Digital Group\" which meet on alternate Wednesdays at St Michaels Church on Westoe Road (the one at the corner of Mowbray Road) at 7:00pm.

Club fees are £15.00 a year, but that\'s for the Photographic Society itself, if you just want to join the \"Digital Group\", it may well be a bit less.

Don\'t be put off, Roy - I think most (if not, all) clubs will be quite happy to have complete novices join. Dunno if they actually \"teach\", but like on NESA, you learn by asking and listening to the advice given.
No doubt some of the advice will be conflicting with what others might suggest - I suppose that\'s the same on here, too.......lol

Tony I know this is not going to be easy, to tell the truth I am a bit nervous to say the least, I have a terrible memory, just the other week I went out in the car, got to the bottom of the street and had to phone our lass to ask where I was going lol. I was thinking if I was to buy an expensive camera I will take better pics all the time, how \"Wrong\" I was. Been reading a bit of the camera jargon, and by the time I got to the next bit about something else I forgot what the first bit was about :( but I will give it a go and see how I get on, I know I will never be a David Bailey overnight or ever for that matter, all I want to do is learn how to use the features of my camera and take nice pics.

Cheers Tony
