Fished a secret spot today haha, fished from 10am to 3.30pm high tide, caught a few decent sized whitings 42cm being the biggest and a 5 beard rockling. Bait used crab, mackerel and blacks, weather wasn't too bad but I did get wet lol, had a good session anyway.

I caught my biggest fish ever at this spot the other day, well almost caught it, it made a last ditch dash and splash when I got it on top of the water and unhooked itself. I cried inside like a baby as I watched it swim down and out of sight away from my previously delighted self, est 4lb+.

Could one of you boat boys give those mackerel a map to shields pier please, I could do with stocking the freezer.

Unlucky on losing the ''biggun'',least youre out giving it a go well done on not blanking.Cant wait for the mackeral to show up myself as just bought a new spinning rod for a bit of sport with them instaed of bashing them with the daylights!!

Cheers lads, near the end of my session I was getting mobbed by a group of kids fishing along from me with there dad, one of them asked my name and proceeded to call me pete cod LMFAO don't ask me why.
