few hours down the tyne

went down to frazers for a few hours today and had plenty of fish. it was a bit of mixed grill, with a flounder a couple of codling and 4 coalies.

it wasnt to bad with the rain either coz theres shelter so it was an enjoyable few hours. crab was the bait.

Well done mate seems crab is the only bait taking anything out the tyne atm.

Canny few hours out mate Crab fishers well in the river this time of year.

i wont fish the river without crab this time of year but in the winter time i do well with lug and runny down as well frozen crab.

I was doing alright throughout the winter with rag and macky but the other day had crab on 1 hook and alternated between rag and macky and rag and sandeel on other hook and only the crab caught anything.

rag and mackeral can be good, especially if the whiting turn up. i have had some blinding sessions for these and caught some nice codling, flounder and coalies on it as well. the last couple of seasons havent been very good for the whiting in the river for some reason though
