Just had a few hours on the end of Roker Pier from about 7 till 10. (Actually went out wearing shorts for the first time this year, good job I had my bib n brace in the box cos it was bloody freezing).
Anyway, I only had one fish on my main rod, this Whiting
I thought the Whiting had gone for the summer but I had that one out and a fella next to us had quite a few. I also had a flattie but it came off as I lifted it out the water.
I had my new LRF rod out for the first time aswell, and christened it with this tiny 5 bearded Rockling
I also had this small Coley
And a slightly bigger Rockling
I was using a drop shot rig with Isome (tried both pink and white) but nothing was taking it so just put small bits of Ragworm on the hook.
My mate Sean had 3 Flounder, a Dab, and this small Codling
Nothing big, but a canny little session, with 6 species between us.
SSP tomorrow! (fished shields beach on Thursday night and just had a few small Flounder, did Cambois beach yesterday, and again just had a handful of tiny Flounder, so hoping for something decent soon!)
